Who We Are

Berkeley, CA-based Terabase Energy is a venture backed startup founded in 2019 by six solar industry leaders as a result of a technology spin out from SunPower Corporation.  Our mission is to reduce the cost and accelerate the deployment of utility-scale solar through the digitalization of the solar power plant.  Our goal is to deploy the platform to deliver $0.01/kWh solar by 2025.

Mechanical Engineering Director

Terabase’s Mechanical Engineering Director is a product development leader, who will work closely with the EVP, Technology & Operations and our R&D team to develop technology that will streamline how utility-scale solar power plants are designed and constructed. The position will support Terabase’s mission to lower the cost of solar electricity to $0.01/kWh by 2025. The candidate will lead a product development team and be responsible for mechanical design and analysis related to large structures and custom designed tools, fixtures, equipment, and processes.

Sr. Industrial Engineer - Factory

Terabase’s Industrial Engineer - Factory is a key contributor of the product development team who will work closely with the EVP, Technology & Operations, the Mechanical Engineering Director, and our R&D team to develop technology that will streamline how utility-scale solar power plants are designed and constructed. The position will support Terabase’s mission to lower the cost of solar electricity to $0.01/kWh by 2025. Engineering Technician & CAD Designer

Terabase’s Engineering Technician and CAD Designer is a key contributor of the product development team who will work closely with the EVP, Technology & Operations and our R&D team to develop technology that will radically change how large-scale utility power plants are constructed.  The technology will help enable Terabase’s mission to lower the cost of solar electricity to $0.01/kWh by 2025. Senior Project Manager

The Senior Project Manager is responsible for the development, coordination and implementation of large-scale solar projects in cooperation with our customers and technical partners. During the bid phase, this will include, among other tasks, leading the technical bid team, evaluating RFP requirements, developing bidding strategy and coordinating the preparation of deliverables. During the implementation phase the emphasis shifts to execution and management of schedule, budget, and risk. The Business Development Associate is a key contributor helping Terabase Management expand and scale our fast-growing engineering and consulting business.  The position will report to the EVP, Sales & Marketing and will interface closely with our regional business development leads around the world.  The Business Development Associate will work directly on our new business proposals and will implement systems and processes to support the growth of this business unit.
