Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy applies to any website, application, feature, widget or other online service that is owned or controlled by Terabase Energy, Inc., its subsidiaries and affiliated companies that post a link to this Privacy Policy (collectively, “Terabase”). This policy explains how Terabase receives and processes personal information as defined by applicable law from its business customers (“Customer Personal Information” or “Customer PI”) and visitors (as prospective business customers) to its website(s) or “Site(s)” (“Visitor Personal Information” or “Visitor PI”). Customer PI and Visitor PI may be referred to herein as “Personal Information” or “PI.”

1. What Information & Why: 

Terabase receives Customer Personal Information for the business purposes of providing software as a service to its customers in the energy and infrastructure industries (collectively referred to herein as “Services”). 

Visitors PI. Visitors to our Site may provide Visitor PI (including name and business email address) so that Terabase can contact them to provide information about our Services. Specifically, Terabase receives or collects the following types of Customer PI: First Name and Last Name; Title; Job Title; and Contact information (E-mail address, physical business address).

User registration. When you register to use our Services, including by setting up the account, you may be required to provide the following types of PI: First Name and Last Name; Title; Job Title; and Contact information (E-mail address, physical business address). We use this information to provide you the Services.

Marketing. We may collect your PI to provide you with free of charge marketing related materials. If you do not wish to receive such marketing materials from Terabase, then click the “unsubscribe” button on such materials.

Usage, Device and Log Information. We collect information about you when you access and use the Site and the Services including your Internet Protocol (“IP”) address, access times, browser type and language, Web pages you visit, device information, and other actions you take, to improve our Services and develop new Services.

Cookies and other tracking technologies. We (including service providers working on our behalf) use technologies to collect information, which includes cookies. Cookies are small data files stored on your hard drive or in device memory that help us to improve the Services and your experience. More information about our cookies can be found here

Collection and Use of Aggregate Information. Terabase may use aggregated or de-identified information (not containing PI) (“Aggregated Information”) to analyze trends and improve its Services.

Interest Based Advertising. We and third parties may collect information about your online activities to provide you with advertising about products and services tailored to your interests. We contract with third-party advertising companies, which may collect information about your use and interactions with the services, over time and across third-party websites and online services. To tailor and deliver this advertising, these third-party companies place, use, or rely on the technologies described above, including cookies, clear gifs, device identifiers and similar technologies to obtain information about customer interactions through interactions with online services. These companies use the information they collect to send you ads that are targeted to your interests. 2. With Whom:

Service Providers: Terabase shares PI with trusted Service Providers for the business purposes of providing the Services and includes the following types of services: sales automation, website management, platform hosting, security monitoring, email and marketing communications, marketing analytics, payment processing, and technical support.

Third Party Applications: The Site may provide links to other Web sites or resources over which Terabase does not have control (“External Web Sites“). Such links do not constitute an endorsement by Terabase of those External Web Sites. You acknowledge that Terabase is providing these links to you only as a convenience, and further agree that Terabase is not responsible for the content of such External Web Sites. Your use of External Web Sites is subject to the terms of use and privacy policies located on the External Web Sites.  

Compliance with Laws: Terabase may disclose PI to a third party if (a) it believes that such disclosure is reasonably necessary to comply with any applicable law, regulation, legal process or governmental request, or (b) to protect the security or integrity of the Services from harm or illegal activities.

Business Transfers: Terabase may share or transfer PI in connection with, any merger, sale of Terabase assets, financing, or acquisition of all or a portion of the business to another company. Terabase may share or transfer aggregated information to affiliate or related companies for its business purposes.

EU & UK Users: EU and UK users have several rights with respect to their personal data including the following: (i) the right to be informed (ii) the right of access; (iii) the right of rectification; (iv) the right of erasure; (v) the right to restrict processing; (vi) the right of data portability; (vii) the right to object to processing; and (viii) the rights in relation to automated decision making and profiling. EU or UK users also have the right to lodge a complaint about the collection or use of their PI by notifying their EU (or UK) supervisory authority. We process personal data under one or more lawful bases depending on the context, including performance of a contract, compliance with legal obligations, legitimate interests, and, where required, consent.. California Residents: California residents may have certain additional rights including with respect to their PI, which are described here. Terabase upholds the right of non-discrimination as defined under CCPA.

Nevada Consumers: We do not sell your covered information, as defined by Section 1.6 of Chapter 603A of the Nevada Revised Statutes.

Retention Policy: We retain PI for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this Privacy Policy, including to provide the Services, maintain our business relationship, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, enforce agreements, and protect our rights. Retention periods vary depending on the category of PI and the nature of the relationship with the individual..

Do Not Track: Some browsers offer a “do not track” (“DNT”) option. Terabase does not respond to DNT signals.

SecurityTerabase employs industry standard organizational, technical, administrative and technological measures that are reasonably designed to help protect information from loss, misuse, unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration or destruction. While Terabase takes reasonable efforts to guard information, no security system is impenetrable.

Policy On Information Collected From ChildrenThis Site and Services are not directed at children under the age of 13. Terabase does not knowingly collect PI from children under the age of 13.

Changes: Terabase may need to update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes to its Services and the laws applicable to its provision of the Services.  If Terabase does change this Privacy Policy, it will revise the “Last Updated” date at the top of this Privacy Policy on the Site. Continued use of this Site or the Services after the posting of such notice will be subject to the terms of the then-current Privacy Policy.
